WEDDING TIPS

1. The Entertainment

Music is powerful. In the hands of a wedding entertainment specialist music can make you cry tears of joy, feel even more beautiful on your most beautiful day, and then want to dance the night away with your family and closest friends. Okay, maybe I'm a little biased here but professional wedding musicians who are exceptionally talented, experienced in wedding performance, well presented and friendly, can make such a HUGE difference to your day. Wedding musicians can masterfully make the transition from romance and elegence to party and celebration - all done tasefully and seemlessly.

2. The Venue

Southeast Queensland has so many amazing wedding reception venues to choose from. If dancing is a priority for you then please always make sure that your chosen venue has a live music license, no noise restrictions and adequate space for a dance floor and the musician/band. Many fantastic venues have live music licenses but are not necessarily ideal for a party atmosphere later in the evening.

  • 3. Seating Arrangements

Graham is always very conscious of noise levels when performing at a wedding reception. That said it is always a good idea to have the guests who are most likely to want to dance at tables close to the band and those who will not want the music too loud as far away from the band as possible.

    4. The Bridal Waltz

The bridal waltz is the signal to your guests that the formalities are over and the party has begun. When possible try to have your sit-down meals and speeches finished prior to the start of the bridal waltz as once everybody sits down again it is much more difficult to re-start the party.

    5. The Photographer

A great wedding photographer will not only be proficient with a camera but will also be able to make the bridal party feel at ease so that their photos come out looking as natural and relaxed as possible. Remember you will be spending most of your day with them so make sure they are someone you want to spend your wedding day with. A professional wedding photographer will also understand how to manage your photographic session so that you arrive at the reception on time.

  • 6. Preparation

If you email a run sheet for your reception to the MC, Band, Wedding Venue Co-ordinator etc. then the evening will flow much more smoothly for you. Even when things are running behind or ahead of schedule, if everybody is working off the same plan they can adjust accordingly and get the night back on track. Allow a little more time for your speeches than you think...they have a way of getting away from you on the night!

    7. Your Wedding Day

You have spent months planning every little detail of your wedding right down to the colour of the ribbon on your napkins. The hard part is over, so now it is time to focus on what is really important and enjoy your special day! Little things are bound to turn out differently to how you have planned but you have chosen great wedding suppliers so let them take care of things. Put all of your energy into celebrating with your partner, your family and your closest friends...you deserve it!

    Experience and Professionalism

As a wedding and event entertainment specialist Graham has performed over 2,000 gigs in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast and throughout Australia. In the past fifteen years he has built a reputation for quality and professionalism in the wedding industry and will use his expertise to ensure that his music is the perfect soundtrack to compliment your special day.

    Music & Your Wedding Day

In the hands of a wedding entertainment specialist music can make you cry tears of joy, feel even more beautiful on your most beautiful day, and then want to dance the night away with your family and closest friends. Yes it has been mentioned before in WEDDING TIPS but it's so true. Imagine your favourite romantic film without any music or the wrong kind of music. It just wouldn't work. Graham knows how to read a crowd and can make informed choices about the types of songs that are appropriate for particular stages of your wedding; music that will appeal to a wide age group. He will always be well presented, on time and flexible so that he can stay on top of any changes in the schedule that may take place. Graham will liase with you prior to the wedding so that he knows when speeches are scheduled and can organise his breaks accordingly to optimise the amount of time he is performing for you.
